I traveled to northern Greece to meet my army platoon brothers for our 40-year reunion, where we spent eight days together in the mountains. I was very curious to meet them, 40 years is a good chunk in people’s lives, and I have not witnessed many of my friends from close-up, as I have been mostly away. I am grateful for the bond and love that holds on.
The first two photos in this collection were taken 40 years ago in Israel, at the early hours of the morning, at first light. We were at the tail end of a fast-march, a 50 miles (80 km) walk with full gear, which ended on top of Mount Masada, where we received the red beret. We became Paratroopers, the elite ground forces of the Israeli Army. Only a few things in life fill me up with a sense of pride, like serving as an Army Paratrooper.
